Concetta Lanzafame

My name is Concetta Lanzafame , I was born in July, 13th, 1984.

When I was just a child, I’ve maturated  a passion for the animals and the sea, which, during the years I've turned this passion  into my real life journey.

I’ve started my journey to attending the high school of science “Archimede” (Ct), where I had the first approaches to scientific subjects, and where I saw that I was following a path very interesting for me.

In 2003 I’ve received my high school leaving qualification and I’ve decided to continue my studies at the University of Messina in order to achieve my bachelor's degree in Marine Biology and Ecology. My passion excited me so much that I decided to go diving, so in 2005 I received the PADI Open Water with PADI, and later also got the S ** Teaching with CMAS.

One of the most interesting of my university studies, it was when I served my first internship at the Laboratory of Marine Biology Science Teaching, near the town of Cetraro (Cs). This stage was a period of two months, during which I acquired new skills and depth-assertion in the identification of benthic species and fish and in the application of underwater visual census techniques.

In July 2009 I obtained a degree, developing the thesis on the census of endangered species of marine park "Riviera of the Cedars" (Tyrrhenian coast of the province of Cosenza). However, my journey towards my goals was not complete, so in 2009 I enrolled at the Graduates of Marine Biology (University of Bologna) at Ravenna.

I began my studies and shortly after I learned of the project STE (Scuba Tourism of Environment) who I‘ve decided to cooperate, so that we can give vent to my passion and have the opportunity to practice my knowledge and learn many other things.

Among my other skills: good knowledge of Microsoft office, basic level of English.
