Sideratou
I
was born in Athens on the 15th
March 1980.
I
attended the Scientific High School
"Arsakeio" in Athens, where I graduated on July 1997.
On
September 1998 I came in Italy in order to enroll in the Degree Course of
Biology at the University
of Bologna.
I
deeply love the sea, andthe animals and nature in general. Satisfying my great
passion for research, thanks to the MSG studies on mediterranean solitary corals,
actually I work on reproductive and population genetics of Balanophyllia
europaea, with a DNA extraction and DNA-microsatellite isolation technic.
During
the last years I had some work experience in different sectors. First of all the
enviroment: on 1997 I partecipated in a program for protection of the sea turtle
Careta careta in Zante and in summer 2002 I have assisted to the
realization of a protection plan for rare birds on the island of Eghina.
In
Athens, in the public relations field, I worked for the publishing “Proskinio
and for the film production company “Angelos Sideratos”. In Italy I
worked for some companies of services during events in Milan, Rome and Bologna.
Foreign
languages: except of course the Greek language, I speek fluently Italian and
English (diploma “First Certificate of Cambridge” ), while German at school
level.
Curious
and determinated, I love to experiment myself in new actitivities.
I
begun the course of Open Water Diver SSI at Bologna Scuba Team and the course of
ECDL, European Computer Driving Licence.
