Josipa Radetic'

 

Josipa Radetic’ was born on 17th February in 1978 at Supetar, on the croatian island of Brac. She obtains the linguistic diploma at Spalato on 1996 in “I Gimnazija-Split “ and in the same year she comes in Italy in order to enroll in the Degree Course of Biology (Bio- Ecological orientation) at the University of Bologna . She graduated on 17th March 2004 with the thesis : Sexual reproduction of the solitary coral Leptopsammia pruvoti (Scleractinia, Dendrophyllidae) in Mediterranean Sea.

On May 2001 she obtains the Padi licence of Open Water Diver (Instr. Ralph Ziemer) and the specialty course of Navigation of SSI by Bologna Scuba Team (Instr. Stefano Goffredo).

From September 2001 she is part of the MSG , working on the reproduction of Mediterranean Corals ( Leptopsammia pruvoti ). Coordinated by Dr. Goffredo and Prof. Zaccanti, part of her research has been presented at the European Meeting of the International Society for Reef Studies (ISRS), on September 2002 at Cambridge (UK): Radetic’ J., Goffredo S., Zaccanti F. 2002 - "Sexual reproduction in solitary corals of the genus Balanophyllia (Scleractinia, Dendrophylliidae): is there a correlation between sexual condition and mode of environmental colonization?".
