Francesco Mezzo
Francesco
Mezzo was born in Bentivoglio (BO) on 11/05/85.
On 2005 he
achieved the diploma at the scientific-technological high school Bassi-Burghatti.
Passionate of
all that regards nature, on 2005 he enrols to the Faculty of Natural Sciences of
the University of Bologna, which he still attends.
On 2006 he
participates to the “International Symposium Neanderthal 2006” organized by
Fiorenzo Facchini and Maria Giovanna Belcastro (Department of Evolutionary and
Experimental Biology of the University of Bologna) and by Antonio Todero (Museum
System Of the Athenaeum, Museum of Anthropology).
On 2007 he
participates to the oceanographic campaign of ISMAR CNR Bologna "SAdri 2007"
where learns the use of Multibeam, Chirp Sonar and the rework of received data.
On 2007 he
achieves the licence Open Water Diver (SNSI) qualified also for Nitrox 32, at
the Scientific Diving School (SDS).
Excellent
knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Frontpage),
good knowledge of Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator.
Very good
knowledge of spoken and written English. On 2004 he obtains the British School
of English diploma with study of scientific English, in particular study of
inorganic and organic chemistry, physics, biology and mathematics. Three years
of high school with an American mother tongue teacher. Experiences of study in
foreign countries and exchanges with Danish students.
On 2007 he
enters to make part of the Marine Science Group where he works on the calcium
carbonate polymorphism in Mediterranean solitary corals.
HOBBY
Amateur
photographer, he participates to the naturalistic photography show "Faces of
Nature" in exposure from December 10, 2007 to February 29, 2008 at the Museum of
the Evolution, via Selmi 3, Bologna.
For 2 years
during the high school he attends an evening design and figure artistic school
where, flanking well-known masters Nichola and Matteo Nannini, he improved its
artistic ability.
Infuences of
William Blake, Francis Bacon, Caravaggio and obviously of its masters are found
in his works.
